Thanks for stopping by! So you want to hear the whole story? Here is how it goes...
Mommying by day...
During the day I'm a mom just trying her best to make the first years of the kids' life as fun, creative and inspiring as possible. I have two adorably mischievous little boys Toby, 5 and Moby, 3 and I am wife to an amazingly supportive, intelligent and understanding husband.
Crafting by night...
I've always loved doing things with my hands. I loved knowing that I could make something out of bits and pieces of left-over fabric or paper. You know that feeling of awe when you imagine something and then you turn it into reality {except that the final project doesn't always look the way you had envisioned in the first place... but hey, you Did It Yourself!} Happens all the time over here. Not only in my craft room, but also in my kitchen - I love to try out new recipes, or make up my own and as you can imagine, some work, others... well, let's not talk about them. But don't worry I only post here the stuff that works!
Meditating in time-out...
When I am not doing any of that {mommying or crafting} you will probably find me meditating! Trust me one of the most amazingly effective ways to relax or find inspiration for creative projects is to meditate. You know that time when you've just had enough with the kids and you really need a time-out before anything else happens? That's when you go to your room and meditate - thoughtless awareness - that's what it is! You just stop the thoughts for a few seconds but you are still totally aware of stuff. I can't say enough about how this meditation has helped me and the best part is that it's free!
Where I come from...
Okay, still reading? I'm almost done now. In case you are wondering, some of my posts will have a link that sais "read it in Portuguese" in Portuguese. That's because I am Brazilian and I have a second blog {in Portuguese} dedicated to my Silhouette crafting. My other passion - Math!! I actually hold a master's degree in Pure mathematics and at some point in time actually wanted to be a researcher... those days are gone. But the teacher in me will never die... so that is why you will keep seeing tutorials all over the blog!
I am Indian by marriage, have been many times to India and absolutely love the colors and textiles, wished I could bring everything back home with me. Oh and yes, home is {and has been for the past many years} in Michigan. Love this place, the people, the crafting supplies - everything!
Intelectual Property...
Now the last few little things {and I promise I'll be quick}. It takes me a lot of {precious} time to create and take pictures for my blog posts. So I will just ask that you be so kind and NOT use any of them without my consent. If you like something in this blog, please share the link to the post. I thank you in advance!
Credits...
I would also like to give credit where it is deserved. For the blog design I used digital paper that has been very kindly offered for free by Rita at http://www.thecoffeeshopblog.com
